Sonic X #18

So far we’ve watched the Sonic X series slowly drag through the low end muck of a 1 out of 5 rating for sometime to come. Almost ironic since it’s XBox360 virgin voyage also dragged through the muck with it’s own 1 inappropriate cannon fodder for a furry hentai fiction plot out of 5. At some point, mind you, I’m hoping Sonic X will somehow pull itself out of the gutter and rate something better than a dismal 1 out of 5. But for right now Sonic is starting to become as forgettable as the team of female creators who claimed to be his biggest fan (y’know, CLAMP). Maybe this is the month to do it… for Sonic, that is. I have no idea what CLAMP is up to these days and somehow I can‘t see myself caring anymore. I still live in CLAMP’s Golden Era of remembrances myself.

Do you know the female Sonic character called Rouge? Do you?
And by that I don’t mean if you played Sonic the Pervert one and two from New Grounds and stripped her naked. Do you actually know the bat furry female character herself (and yes, despite her bat side she‘s still a hot female character believer it or not).
I guess only Sonic fans would say yes, but if you don’t she appears here and steals a rare gem. Sonic is on the case, but it looks like Rouge may have been framed and she’s seemingly out to… nah, she’s out to steal more. Or is she? As Sonic, Knuckles and the humans catch up to her suddenly she doesn’t know what they’re talking about her “thefts”, which turns out to be right (yes) as an evil duplicate is found out to be really responsible for the crimes. She helps defeat her “twin”, the stuff is recovered and she’s given gainful work… and this title earns itself a slight raise… wow.

Since they weren’t butchering holidays, some actual Sonic “action” happened, and things were not completely dragged through the muck I am going to be abit more merciful to this month’s selection… because next month goes to Las Vegas and I’m betting we’re back to 1 out of 5 in no time.

So embrace this brief reprise from the awful scores with a slightly better score of… 2 out of 5.
Yeah, it’s not much better, but at least it’s better than a 1 out of 5. Anything is better than a 1 out of 5.
That and, well, we had another female Sonic character that isn’t the creepy “girlfriend” of Sonic from the last two issues of Sonic X (and by that I don’t mean the Final Fantasy looking female from Sonic the Hedgehog for the XBox360... She’s way too tall and way too human for the furry).
One more time, for the record. Sonic X #18 gets a 2 out of 5.
Somehow I don’t see this lasting as we go Viva Las Vegas next time, so embrace this one reprise as long as it‘ll last. It’ll probably get back to “status quo” from here. Sad if it does indeed happen, but… we’ll see.
