Sonic X #14

Short. Short short short short… short review.
Because you can’t even get Superman anymore for under $3 (now that the cost is up to $3, and heaven forbid I don’t even want to know anymore what the hell they’re asking these days for Batman : Gotham Knights if they haven’t already canceled that title already) here’s something if you are not too particular about your reading and want to save money.
Anyway it’s either this or saving up for another One Piece or Naruto video game (except the Naruto RPG which is supposed to be a bright light in a mostly mundane franchise of games from what I heard of it) and who wants to play another One Piece or Naruto video game (no matter how much you like the Manga or the Anime of either series).

Somehow I missed Sonic X #13... Unlucky number perhaps? Anyway as it turns out last issue it was as if the ghost characters from the Mario franchise had invaded because as this issue opens there’s an outbreak of ghostly activity as people (including the mothers of one Chris Thorndyke and the female girl-bunny Sonic character Cream who lives with him) and they‘re all out to get those who haven‘t been converted, including the aforementioned Chris and Cream… and yes, that does sound like cannon-fodder for a couple of weird hentai sex stuff but that’s for another (as in NEVER) review. Let’s forget I just said that, moving on.

So where is the blue hyperactive ball of fur (since two issues ago he couldn’t stop wanting to find something to do from a bad case of hyperactive boredom?), well somehow last issue he and Tails ended up in prison with his archnemesis Eggman who… wow… ISN’T trying to escape! What a bad twist of events since Sonic would like to escape somehow… urgh.

Well somehow Sonic (and Tails) does show up at the end (all pardoned and everything getting them out of the clink) and provide the cliché ending, and overall if you saw the ending coming from the moment the story started then I don’t blame you… well… as Sonic goes we’re only into the second review and this is about as much “You’re getting what you paid for” mentality as it could possibly get. Apparently $2.25 doesn’t get you much these days, like it or not.

OK. Since the particular story won’t get better upon further looking let’s just break this down.

Sonic History X Breakdown the 14th
No, it’s not the best Sonic ever… sadly it’s not even half passable… but if it does nothing more than inspire the creation of the next furry/human coupling to ever come out of Sonic lore… and oh god why did I say that… then something was accomplished here. (Just, you know, make them adults before you fic writers go out there and -- urgh, my head hurts now just coming to that sad conclusion!! Ouch!! Stop the pain! Stop!!)

2 Episodes of Sonic OZ out of 5.
Don’t worry, by next review I’d have gotten over it and completely forgotten about it.
