Gold Digger #84 to #86

Slowly we draw closer to Gold Digger #100.

By next year we should reach this milestone.

But it’s a long way to then, so let’s continue our ongoing review of Gold Digger with the 2nd Quarter and Issues #84 to #86.

It’s been awhile since Britanny’s daugther Tiffany has seen mother.

But now thanks to “Ancient Gina” (the one from an alternate reality which may herald the end of all life in the known universe) Britanny is once again reunited with her husband and daughter… in their dreams.

Weird isn’t it, though, how she convenintly didn’t get her in touch with her own family like her dad, mom, other Gina and Brianna though… huh.

This tale, told in one of these dreams between Britanny and Tiffany, starts as a fishing trip which turns into an attempt to retell “Robotech : Do You Remember Love?” only to (instead) reveal a previously untold GD -18 tale of the girls’ past (which may link to Britanny’s present situation if you’ve been following the title religiously).

After that it’s Gold Digger #85 and…we catch up with this reality’s Gina as she is about to see the fruits of her labor (and that whole theft thing from that little jerk “Pee-Wee”… wait, she stole from a jerk criminal and he actually had her arrested and put on trial? Quick, stamp a loser sign on his head!) as the Giga Key is seemingly now ready to open up Quasi Space for exploration (and a rescue mission).

And oh sure, NOTHING wrong could possibly come from this attempt with unknown possibly dangerous technology… yeah… as if the many years and many issues that have passed already haven’t said otherwise.

Sure this is bad enough, but let’s make it worst by having Brianna still pissed at Dr. Diggers for what happened previously (and how she blames him for not derailing the chain of events which lead to what happened to Britanny being “lost in quasi space” the way she is).

But it can’t get any worst, can it?

I mean other than the fact a gigantic mega super Galactus sized dragon creature just dropped into the storyline like the ticket prices of Fantastic Four : Rise of the Silver Surfer bottomed out it can’t get any worst, right?

Well… while we’re still camped out in the middle of nowhere (somebody just had a seemingly prophetic vision of the giant creature and more) and it seems like Julia is about to go and do a very rash thing. Of course what could the worst be other than Julia (dig back into my early reviews if you don’t remember the name) getting beat up? How about a end of the quarter cliffhanger that seemingly has something to do with that thing from the start of the whole Gold Digger chain… y’know, that Dreadwing thing… wait, Dreadwing, Dreadwing… name seems to ring a bell… maybe a review… but where…

And then we end and prepare for the 3rd Quarter, and what is to come from all this.

Breakdown time.

I don’t know, I’m running out of ways to express this.

Fred Perry’s Gold Digger is one of the essentials.

It’s artwork is now at it’s highest quality (though I feel it will probably get even better as times goes on), the writing is solid and the seemingly never ending drama that is the Diggers Family life continues to roll ever forward like a dramatic action humor packed soap opera that is fun to read.

Sure, like Bob Barker one day we will also see the retirement of Fred Perry… just not today, not today.

Gold Digger #84 to #86, one step closer to Gold Digger #100 and it’s latest milestone, gets 5 super Colossus creatures out of 5.
