The top 6 worst Anime dubs ever

By Joseph Wood

A good anime can be ruined by a poor dub. It can be the voice actors sounding like people who've just been brought in from the street. Or the fact a characters voice seems to be able to continue a minute after the charcter's lips stopped moving. Almost always these poor dubs are done for shows that will be called "Childrens shows" and give anime a bad name, the amount of times when I say I watch anime people have laughed saying it's all like pokemon. So here is a list of the worst dubbed anime titles I have had the mispleasure to sit through.

6. Sailor Moon
The story is good the concept is great and I'm a huge fan of this series however the quality of the dub is rather bad and could very much use a update.

5. Lupin the 3rd
I love Lupin, but the Castle of Calestrio dub and any other dubs where Lupin is refered to as "Wolf" chill me to the bone. However many of the Lupin the third films have been given new and greatly improved dubs.

4. Megaman Network Warrior
I think this is the title, but I'm not sure on what it has been called in the english translation. Based on the Megaman Battle Network games this is quite a good seires and I have seen a number of subbed epsiodes. However the translators have needlesly changed the names of a number of charcters and although I haven't seen the dub this is here for the name changes.

3. Sonic X
Soinc is cool, however this anime based on the latest games (featuring Cream, Shadow, Rouge etc) this dub may well make you cringe. The voices of many of the charcters are cringeworthy.

2. Dragonball (all)
Now although this is quite high in the list, I think some of the epsiodes are quite well done, however the throught some of the epsiodes charcters voices will change quite radicaly (Most affected in Z). I know they are lots of episodes but I would prefer the new people to at least try and sound like the last person who I'd just got used to.

1. Duel Masters
This I just saw on Toonami, although the card game is currently outselling Yu-gi-oh in Japan and set to do the same thing here. AGRH! This was awful...the voices of the charcters were anyoing the diuloge was something a really bad fan-fiction writer could do better than, you know the kinda... "LiNk DrOOs Hisss swORD and KIcks assss". The show seems to have a nice set up, it introduces how the game is played (somewhat like Magic the Gathering), the epsiode was clichied like heck.
