Cake Mania 3

At one of the endings of Cake Mania 2 Jill's friend (who ran the undersea amusement park) proposed marriage to Jill, who accepted (of course)! It is now the day of the wedding, and everything is going rather well... except for the fact that one of the guests had the bad taste to bring a temporal shattering device to the wedding (As what, as a gift?!? Are you mad oh game???) , which promptly breaks sending the entire cast (family and friends) throughout time leaving it up to Jill to travel the ages from Caveman era to an unknown future to save them all.

And to do that? She must bake! Bake like the wind! Bake as if her life depended on it... so I won't go into the stuff I already talked

about in the previous reviews, let's talk the new stuff...

First off there's new upgrades (now you can turn the cake display into a cake refrigerators to store failed cakes an extra day to attempt to sell them the next day for instance). That's great as the game needed new stuff.

You now have a phone for a random phone order you can carry out every month (just make the cake and deliver it to the phone for delivery... or something like that). How you can have phone service in the past? I don't know... but considering you seem to have all the trappings of a modern cake kitchen as well in the past then that's the least of your concerns now isn't it.

You now have a new type of customer, one that

(if not made immediately happy) will affect your customers if not totally satisfied with your service. For instance in dinosaur land you have an angry T-Rex who will eat a customer if not given cake fast enough. In the land of the Pharoahs you have an angry Egyptian god who will turn your customers into mummies if not served quickly enough (and so on and so forth). Serving the uppity customer quickly (depending on which era it is) is highly recommended as they entirely disruptive and mess your work up no matter what effect they pull on you.

New cakes, new decorations, and overall a fresh coat of new... oh, and a new powerup gained if you make enough orders during a given month (but the power changes depending on which world

you're in so it's not the same each world). And yes, all of this appears again in Main Street along with a Burger Island style of gaming (a first for the series having two sets of game mechanics to go through).

I thought as of this game the series was going out with a bang, but it looks like (as of Main Street) it's now going out... with a set of twins?!? Maybe, and maybe this is the means by which the series can keep going into a new age of releases... well it's either that or go back to that concept of Sausage Mania : Feeding Hungry Grannies. In the meantime Cake Mania 3 gets 4 positively glowing cake reviews out of 5, enjoy the frosted goodness everyone!
