Banjo Pilot

There isn’t very many racing games on the Game Boy Advance worth praising, let alone getting, but this is one of them. With a straight out Mario Kart slash Diddy Kong Racing feel to it the game is a straightforward racer so this will be a rather short review to be certain.
Upside is that it’s a rather nice racer, a rarity for the GBA. The downside is that it is abit rough to handle driving wise the planes (once you hit the boost for instance expect to not have the most fine tuned control for turning or nailing pick ups like music notes on each track without planning
Story? Is there really a story here? If there is I’d be as surprised by that as you’d be. Anyway who needs a story when you’re just piloting stuff and racing to win each race (and

ahead for the pick up), and there is only so many characters to play let alone unlock. But nevertheless the game is rather fun for a GBA port and while it won’t measure up to DS level driving slash flying games it is, after all, a GBA game and with it’s fair amount of modes and stuff to do in the game it is a rather nice piloting game all the same.

nail each trophy for each race circuit which ends with a duel between you and the champion of each race batch which unlocks said character once you beat them). That’s all that you basically need to know about the happenings of this game in terms of story all in all.

Overall it’s a nice cheap bargain game on the GBA and if you’re a fan of the bear and his loudmouthed foul beaked partner then this is a nice addition to your set. If not? Well there’s always Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing to play. Otherwise this gets a nice steady 3 out of 5.
