Well, after much time and reviewing it’s time to open up the newest in retro reviewing.
Our first batch of SEGA Game Gear reviews. Let’s get into it.

First off a shoutout to Doug from GameTZ (the site where I do all my game swapping), who traded me a SEGA Game Gear and 19 GAMES!! Thanks to you, Doug, we’ll have quite abit to review for sometime to come! Thanks!!

Note the title. There’s a reason for it.
Why? Because at one time the WWE used to be called the WWF, but that was before the World Wildlife Foundation (or whatever they’re called) got their eco on and demanded the WWF change their name. Hence why the game is WWF Wrestle Mania (because back in that time it was the name of the group before it was forced to change it).

I think I’m only going to like present day wrasslin’ games… and by that I just mean the games with the large female wrasslin’ characters that do semi-naughty things to each other like tear their clothes off or pin each other in erotic positions… yeah, that’s nice. Otherwise wrasslin is about as interesting to me as the concept of playing Tiger Woods golf (in that I’m not interested at all).

However if you are a wrasslin’ fan and love nostalgia then this game is for you. Heralding from the Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Randy Savage, etc era of wrassling, this game offers up a few modes of gameplay including the title mentioned “Steel Cage” match. Pick from about half a dozen or so wrasslers (probably more) and get out there and wrassle… and by that I mean button mash.

Of course if I had the instructions I’d know what I’m doing in this game, but since this was a gigantic packet from Doug I had to learn it on the fly. And boy did I learn…

1-The game uses little characters to wrassle (so even if there was a female wrassling mode you couldn’t tell the difference from the male wrassling).

2-I seem to have picked up the moves easy enough, and from my POV it seems I’m doing well enough…

3-Just haven’t learned how to win yet.

The game has a few modes, and all the classic wrasslers of a bygone era you might remember (What? No Andre the Giant though? Damn!) but the gameplay is hard to see, and seems to be mostly the same… still, it’s kinda fun, has abit of challenge once you learn how to make your wrassler do your bidding, and once you got the hang of it you should have a fair time with this blast from the past.

So let’s give this old school wrassler a good even 3 out of 5 for being a fair memory of your wrassling history. Now if only there’d be a heavy petting female only ladies wrassling game for the PSP… that’d be sweet… no, really, that’d be great! Really! What, didn’t you like Rumble Roses?!?
