Street Fighter Alpha
First off, Street Fighter Alpha is also known as Street Fighter Zero. Why the difference? This difference was added to get rid of the confusion between the Japanese version of SF and the US one. (zero is jap version and alpha is what we use here). Now, In Japan, Bison is called Vega and Vega is called Balrog. But i do not want to get into that.
This is a review so i will go over the animation and such, and a lil of of synopsis.
Sound: The sound is very nicely done in this movie but not so good that you'll want to find the soundtrack and listen to it again and again. Action: Very nice action, though a bit unrealistic...but let's face it, people shooting fireballs at eachother and doing a triple axe kick in the air as a move to harm someone wasn't too likely in the first place.
Animation: This movie is done in Anime style rather like Street Fighter Two, which is done in a more realistic way. I liked the animation in Street Image 1 of 3. Click to enlarge
Summary of the story: The way of Hadou,(literaly means kenitic energy) is a form of qi kong. a way of focusing one's spiritual powers and materializing it and using the energy of it as a weapon. The way of Hadou is actually meant to be a discipline. A way of life where you lose your mortal desires, wantings, and etc. You lose your feelings, and any emotional attachment to anyone and anything. You no longer feel pain, guilt, and all you know is fight. The ULTIMATE level of Hadou is HADOUKIN which is a DARK form of hadou in which the user would be overflowing with the Hadoukin and use the Ultimate Move of Hadou.
The Raging Demon *literally means Death in an Instant..i like that translation better* anyways. by using the ragin demon however, one's soul shall be taken into hell and you would be possesed by a demon and all you know/do is to fight and to kill.
Akuma, the Second apprentice of the Grand master(Goutetsu) of hadou. was mistreated and brutalized due to his lack of ability. Gouken, the First apprentice is talented and was favoured by the master. however he was lacking the ability to truely gaining the power of hadou. the Image 2 of 3. Click to enlarge
Gouki, who was constantly beaten by the Master was not given dinner many many times due to inferior results when compared to Gouken. Was Goin crazy and driven to the edge of insanity. When the Master put BOLTS of nails into his back. And said if oneday you can get those bolts out, then you have succeeded in the way of hadou. Gouki, from that moment on practice his punch day and night, without rest and food. He went on perfecting his art. He cleared a whole forest using his flame.
Whn the final stage of training is complete...it is a custom to fight your master. and if you win you may get off the moutain*you ALWAYS train on a mountain*and spread the art around the world.
Gouken's match with the Goutetsu was interrupted by Gouki.
Whom by now has lost his sense of humanity and his eyes no longer has the sanity in it*which in anime is shown without eyeballs, just white*
Gouki and Goutetsu fought on, in the end Gouki Triumphed over Goutetsu, with the ULTIMATE move of Hadou. The ragin demon, he charged into Goutetsu, grabbed him, and then a flash of light shined upon gouki. everyone was blinded. When the vision is back to normal. Image 3 of 3. Click to enlarge
*getting a little bit off track here><..happens to me whn i talk about anime.*
erm..so
explaining the origin of Hadou and Gouki. Lets move on to the story. Ryu has the Hadoukin, however he does not want it, nor could he control it.
In the midst of all the confusion he has, Ken, Ryu's best friend and rival in martial arts. Came back from US to attend to a martial arts tournament. The two met and talked about ages past. When all of the sudden. a lil kid named SHUN came up to them and claimed that he is Ryu's brother.
This is true since he also posesses the power of Hadoukin.
Now ken joined this tournament...which was just a decoy for a mad scientist to collect data from fighters*rather take fighters, suck their powers out to him, and then dump them away*
Now i do not want to spoil anything for you since i've said enough.
Watch for your self to know the ending ;).
i give it a 8/10 for an anime~.
