The thing about this anime is that you either love it or hate it.

This anime has some fantastic music, interesting characters, pretty good voice acting and beautiful animation (though there are some annoying still shots) but what seems to be the main issue is the plot.

Neon genesis evangelion or NGE for short has some very deep psycological and phylisophical undertones. The drama is excellant but most people seem annoyed and angry (I'm refering to the review I read on this site before) about the 'loose ends' and the fact that it didn't seem to make any sense.

I understood it and I'm only 12.

Well this anime was all about angels attacking and the three pilots having to protect humanity but it is more focused on character development. Baisically, the point they are trying to get through (mostly pointed out on the last two episodes) is about all three

pilots and there place in society, it's about human limitations and whether humans deserve a place on earth due to their sins.

NGE asks some very very deep questions in dealing with the meatphysical and religious themes.

NGE is for anyone who's tired of your average corny drama and if people lack the IQ to understand the themes that NGE place forward then they can still enjoy the action and stunning artwork.

All in all yes, this anime has flaws but it is still a great anime. It has a very sombre theme and stimulating drama.

My advice is to watch this anime. It's one of the best out there though anyone under ten or anyone with less IQ then a ten years old may find it confusing.
