Fruits Basket
By Acclrator 28th Apr 04 I just received my new order today. It had a few manga and a dvd.. Fruits Basket. I sat down, started to watch.. It has some really nice art, clean animation.. And a very funny story. It's quite a simple story. I'll try to get as much of it as i can with out spoiling it. Shouldn't be too tough though. Tohru Honda wasn't having the best of luck. Her mother dies and she moved in with her grandpa. He has to renovate the house to Tohru is "kicked-out" temporarily until it's done. She starts to live in a tent, and this is where the story begins. Yuki Souma is the popular boy in school and he finds Touhru living in the tent. He invites her into his house with all his cousins. The only problem, which Touhru finds out, is that when any of these guys are hugged, or embraced, by the opposite sex, they turn into an animal. From this moment on wackiness and craziness just begin. I'd really recommend this series, so far as I've only seen the first dvd (ep 1-6) to anyone who likes light hearted stuff. It's fun, easy to understand and I'd say this is better than Love Hina with a stick. 9/10
