Ellcia: Ship of God
By Mark Bearden 28th Apr 04 Ellcia: Ship of God... the fourth and final part of the Anime Ellcia. Maybe this wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done, that being buying the final part first without seeing the first three... I always do it the wrong way round! Anyway where should I begin? well the main Hero of this story in a girl, her name is Eira, she is the chosen one... she has the legendary golden sword which symbolises that she is the one that will save the world. As for her party, its pretty mixed each team member is unique, there being a Giant woman that has to be 8ft tall, heh don't mess with her, this guy that's arrogant, 2 little kids, and this guy with custard hair... what a weird team you may think... well your right it is... As for the story it kicks off straight in the middle of a battle with Eira and her friends on the ship of god running away from this destroyer class ship with a very cool guy commanding it, Then some shit happens people die, there are a lot of twists to what happens in this I would mention some of them but well that would ruin it, if your planning on seeing Ellcia. The Heroine is pretty cool, although the voice acting for nearly all the characters is pretty crap, hey what do you expect for an English dub... even though I've never seen one this bad. The Artwork used for Ellcia is pretty nice, The animation is not so, its very rough, the music used in Ellcia is alright, its nothing special. In closing I liked Ellcia: Ship of God, I probably would have liked it even more if I had of seen the first three, oh well beggars cant be choosy, I'm still not happy with the voice overs they let it down big time, It could have been so much better. 5/10
